Still waters run deep is an adage that definitely applies here. We have seen Bryant and Vaughn throughout the rest of the books but in this one we see them in an entirely new light. They are both devastated by the loss of someone important but are bound by an incident in the past they have never talked about or dealt with. We see them growing up and doing just that. While they do not have an easy time, you grow to love these two men and really want them to work it out.Jayne Rylon is an excellent author that just gets better with each book she writes. She is definitely on my one-click buying list and I don’t even read the blurbs I just purchase because I know I am going to get a well thought out, well written, well developed and emotional read. This is a m/m book so if that isn’t your thing skip it, but you will be missing out. Still Waters continues the saga of Compass Ranch as the second generation of the Compton boys grows up.
